RULES

RULES Back to Navigation ✬ All IC posts go on the [community profile] cityofglymmer community (this includes network posts, just indicate that it's a network post somehow and you're golden). All OOC posts go on the [community profile] glymmerunderground community. Your mod journal is [personal profile] ragamuffins

Be nice. Just don't be a jerk to people! Treat everyone with the courtesy you'd want to receive from them in return. Harassment and bullying won't be tolerated, so don't do it. If you are aware of any harassment or bullying in the playerbase, please contact me so I can take care of it.

Don't godmode or infomod. It's okay for characters to lose and/or not know things, even if they are the BEST CHARACTER IN THEIR CANON. And relatedly. . .

IC =/= OOC. Don't take someone's character being a jerk ICly as an offense OOCly. Conversely, don't use your character as a mouthpiece for an OOC opinion you hold. The lines between IC and OOC should be bright and clearly delineated, and please respect those lines. On that note. . .

COMMUNICATE. This is the most important rule! If you're uncertain about whether a player will be OOCly okay with an action your character is about to take ICly, then talk to the player. If you have a problem with someone else, talk to them, please, and try to work it out. I don't want to have to moderate disputes when we're all adults who should know how to use our words, so please, keep in contact with the people you thread with! If you absolutely cannot work it out with the other person OOCly, then you are welcome to contact the mod and I will do my best to mediate a solution.

Be Active. You don't have to thread every day, and if you're not feeling it, you're not feeling it. That's okay! But please do not skirt by with the most basic of activity for several months in a row. If you app into the game, please play. If it doesn't work out and you lose interest or have to drop, that's all right! No hard feelings at all.

✬ Activity Check will run from the 1st through the 7th of every month. Only threads started in the month immediately prior to the AC period will count towards activity.

✬ Activity requirements are one thread from a mission or event post of any length per month. We won't be counting comments in the threads so long as they're a decent length. If you are scraping by with two or three comment threads per month, then we may have a conversation. There will be no strike system or AC warning system. If you don't comment to AC at the end of the month, you will be idled!

Only contact the mod with game-related inquiries through official mod channels. That is, you're welcome to use the mod contact page, the Q&A page, and the mod email to get in contact with me! Please do not ping me on Discord or send me a PP if you have a game-related question. It's 100% easier on everyone if all game-related questions go to the mod email, the Q&A page, or the mod contact page.

You must be 18 years or older to play in Glymmer.

R18 content is allowed, but must be moved off of the community to character journals. Whether you lock the post or not is up to you!

The following is not a rule, but rather a request from your mod!

Be gentle with me. ;; This is the first game I've ever modded, so it's very likely I'll make mistakes or make mod decisions you don't agree with. That's okay! Since I'm so new at this I'm 100% open to suggestions and welcome people posting suggestions on the suggestions page if you have any. If I do a bad I'm super willing to chat it out with people, too. Conversely, if I say no to a suggestion, don't be offended! I promise I appreciate your input even if I don't wind up using it. 8( BASICALLY JUST. . . BE GENTLE ON ME. . . I'm trying and am extremely nervous, wheezes!1
