APPS Back to Navigation
Applications are currently CLOSED

✬ Glymmer is an invite-only game for the time being! For more information on the invite system, please visit the invite page.

✬ Apps are always open! However, I as the mod reserve the right to close them again if we get close to the game cap, or for any other reason. If I do that, I will make sure to clearly announce it in advance so everyone can plan for it.

✬ Apps will always be processed on the Saturday after they're submitted. If I for some reason cannot process apps that Saturday, then I will announce this on Plurk and process them on Sunday instead. Regardless, they should be processed every weekend!

✬ Currently, there is a game cap of 50 characters and a cast cap of 5 characters. Franchises (such as separate Final Fantasies and Personas and Marvel) will be considered separately for now. These caps are flexible and I will revisit them later on.

✬ We are currently accepting apps for fandom characters, OCs, and AUs of fandom characters (both canon and player made). We are not accepting apps for PG/CRAUs at this time.

✬ Doubles of characters are allowed so long as one version is appreciably different than the other version. We allow up to two versions of the same character to exist in the game at once. For example, Peter Parker from MCU and the Peter Parker from Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse would both be appable. So would canon Sora from Kingdom Hearts, and a player made AU where Sora never got the keyblade. The mods will be the one to determine whether the two version of a character are different enough to be appable. If you're not sure, you can ask!

✬ In a case where someone wishes to app a double into the game, they may do so only with permission from the player already in the game. If that player says no, please respect this! Doubles are so much fun (speaking from experience) but are only fun if all players are on board with it.

✬ Apps for historical characters will only be allowed if they are from a highly fictionalized take on history. For example, Abraham Lincoln from Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter is appable, but Alexander Hamilton from the musical Hamilton is not.

✬ Players may play up to two characters in the game, but may only app one per app period.

✬ While we have no age limits on what characters can be applied to Glymmer, please make sure that they character you're applying for is suitable for the setting and can be self-sufficient! If the mods have questions about character suitability, we may take you aside to ask before accepting them. If we find that they aren't suitable for the setting, we will decline the application.

✬ You do not have to reserve a character to app them.

✬ Please fill out the following form and then post it to this page to apply to the game:

Character Info

Character Name: Minato Arisato
Canon: Persona 3
Age: 17
Canon Point: Post-game, the Journey
Character Info: Bam!

Why would your character make a good (or bad) phantom thief?

Quite frankly, Minato is going to be an absolutely shoddy phantom thief. He's the sort of person who, while he cares greatly about other people, doesn't have much in the way of enthusiasm or motivation when it comes to himself. Even for a wish, he's not likely to work all too hard to be a decent thief, not when so much of that depends on him being at least a little selfish.

Because honestly, he just does not know how to do that. Minato's selfless to the extreme. Even the thought of doing something that inconveniences someone else for his own sake will never really seem right to him. He'll only do thief-y things if it's for someone else's sake, which is an oxymoron to the extreme (especially since he is not near dashing enough to be a Robin Hood).

He can't even very easily go for said robin hood approach--because Minato's very much a non-judging person, which means that even stealing from really crummy people will feel wrong to him. They have the chance to become better people, don't they? He really does hold onto that. So how is he supposed to steal from anyone when he doesn't want to cause them any troubles or inconveniences? It's a mystery, really.

He's kind of lazy, extremely laid-back, and very, very chill. Things that are concerning to other people never even cross his mind as something to worry about. Wanted posters? Eh, they're there. The police, coming for him? It'll probably work out okay. He...doesn't have much in the way of strong feelings about most everything, sans his friends and the well-being of other people in general.

There is one aspect in which he might be a decent thief, at least; he's self-sacrificial to the extreme, which means he'll be more than willing to throw himself into the path of danger to help his fellow thieves. So that's something, right? Better than nothing, at least.

(But no, really, he's going to be a mess.)

Specialization: Grifter!

Starter thief outfit: Outfit and mask from here! I may revisit this later tbh, BUT FOR NOW!!

Powers: Minato's a Persona protag, and with that comes the ability to summon all sorts of Personas. In Glymmer, he will naturally be restricted to the Personas he has on him, which can be found here. They can be restricted or pared down however's necessary! However, I'll be automatically assuming that summoning his Personas too many times will leave him exhausted--using them requires SP, and he only has a finite amount of that, after all!

He otherwise is competent in a variety of weapons--swords, gauntlets, spears, bows and arrows--but competent only in the sense that he kind of picked them up and did his best with them; he doesn't have any sort of formal training, or a particularly impressive technique.

While his Personas make him pretty tough compared to normal people, he is otherwise a very normal teenage boy; in comparison to trained fighters, he'll be at a very large disadvantage.

Samples: Bam and some extra for funsies.
